3 Months of Samsung Galaxy S7 edge

1) Camera

In my experience, women scrutinizing their selfies and pictures present a truer, more real-life challenge to the smartphone camera (and the photographer) than any professional camera shootout.

After testing pictures from different cameras (iPhones 6s, Note 5, LG and others) during family gatherings and nights out with friends, the S7 edge automatically gravitated to becoming the default camera of the trip or the evening.

The dual pixel 12MP camera on the S7 edge is, hands down, the best smart phone camera I’ve ever used. Especially in low light performance, it takes significantly sharper pictures than its peers.

All the pictures I took of the Sunset on Tanah Lot (Bali) and the Ubud Monkey Forest (Bali) were from the S7 edge and the results speak for themselves. I never regretted leaving my main camera behind.

The best compliment I can pay to the camera on the S7 edge is that it has caused a behavioural change in me. I take a lot more pictures now than I ever did in the past. It just churns out beautiful pictures one after the other, especially if you just point and shoot, letting the aggressive Samsung photo processing do it’s work.

4) Fast charging and battery life

5) Build quality

Is it the right phone for you?

    1. Thanks buddy! You were the one who gave me the idea to write it so I am glad you liked it. I tried restricting this post to limited aspects of the phone that are different to its competitors. But if you have any other specific questions about the phone before you buy it, let me know, I’ll be happy to help. Cheers!
